Newsflash: Employment Equity Reporting Season is Open!

The Department of Employment and Labour (DOEL) has officially confirmed: Businesses do not need to deregister from the Employment Equity (EE) system.

Instead, if your business has fewer than 50 employees, you’ll need to:

  1. Log in to the EE system.
  2. Update your company profile.
  3. Capture your current headcount.

From there, the system will automatically determine whether your business needs to submit Employment Equity reports or not.

A Few Key Things to Note:

  • 🔑 Access to your EE Compliance Certificate will depend on completing this process.
  • 📬 Annual reminder letters will still go out to all employers — even if you employ fewer than 50 people.
  • 🚫 These letters do not mean you must deregister.
